We did however have quite a few problems with the car once home, with a few components needing replaced. Steve did however sort this out with us and we get the problems resolved, which was great. Sourced the car on the internet which was being sold by SP Cars Nottingham. Their website, and the car looked perfect. Spoke to Steve on the telephone and then decided to travel to view the car. On visiting SP Cars in Nottingham, everything was as described. The car had been accurately described and was in pristine condition. In fact, all the other cars in the showroom were immaculate. I met by appointment with Steve (propreitor) on the 30/12/22. I was looking for a Mercedes Benz E class convertible of at least 2016 vintage.He had one in his very clean showroom and i had a good look over it by myself. Returning a few days later and we went for a test drive and i bought the car on the 4th January 2023. So far it has been totally reliable though persistent inclement / freezing weather has precuded the top being down! I should add that the car was spotlessly clean, provided with a new MOT and the owner was a very nice person to deal with. I would buy from him again.

Communication -Excellent. Presentation - Vehicle visually as described interior/exterior. Performance - Car drove well on the near 200 mile journey home, i.e. Engine, smooth; Brakes, efficient+; Gearbox, easy and precise change; Clutch pedal - experienced a sticking pedal, this was released by hand twice and journey continued as planned. Seemingly this is not an unknown occurrence across all manufacturers, car is currently in Volvo specialist being inspected with a view for general assessment and remedial actions. SP Cars has been totally supportive throughout the episode and indeed the entire sales experience. Based on this I would have no reservations in considering this business in the future or recommending to others

All went really well couldn’t fault SP Cars until I realised the fuel tank was practically empty. Surely when you spend £30k on a car there should at least be half a tank to get you home. I very nearly ran out trying to find a petrol station then had to queue for an hour and a half. Really stressful and upsetting situation........... Thanks for the review Lucy. Sorry you were disappointed about the fuel, as i explained at the time, our local fuel stations were closed due to the panic buying public and it was beyond my control.

I gave Steve the nickname of Ronseal Steve. He sells cars, they are extremely tidy, the cars sell themselves. No fuss or pressure techniques. I found this rather refreshing. I've been chuffed to bits with my 2016, fiat 500 Abath. It was presented so tidy it looked brand new. I've had no mechanical issues since I purchased it (about a month ago). Would I purchase from him again? If he has what I'm looking for, definitely.

Chose the vehicle at the beginning of Covid19 lockdown and put a deposit down to reserve it, then we had to wait until the restrictions were lifted to be able to collect it. Had a few battery issues mainly because of the vehicle not been used for weeks but with the aid of a good charger, sorted it. Since that have had a cam sensor issue which with the use of the fabulous warranty that came with the vehicle was sorted very efficiently. Overall, the guy I dealt with was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend SP Cars, would definitely use again.

All the cars he sells are very well looked after, refurbished to the highest standards possible compared to many I have seen and is happy to discuss in detail your needs and requirements, always going the extra mile. A straight talker, the advice provided is sound, and if he is unable to accommodate your needs he will advise accordingly which is more than you can ask for compared to some places that have aggressive sales pitches. Having had company vehicles all my driving life (30 years) this was going to be only the 3rd car I had owned myself and it was to be my pride and joy. Spending 13.5k of my hard earned saved for cash I wanted to get it right.If possible I wanted a local independent dealer to buy from and as fate would have it my first choice Jag that I had seen was at SP Cars. The owner has 30 years experience ( it is all he has done) and you can tell he is passionate about cars.
